By TR Baseball, 09/08/17, 9:45AM CDT

DALLAS --- The Texas Rockies Baseball Organization will head into the 2017 fall baseball season looking to build on the success from what was undoubtedly a stellar spring campaign for the program that also featured a lot of memorable moments throughout the year. All four Rockies' teams from the spring are set to return for the fall and are eager to engage in their first outdoor team workout of the season this Friday and Saturday, before heading into their first set of games since late June. There will be a host of new faces scattered throughout the program this fall as the coaching staff worked diligently on addressing the needs of each team during the offseason. In doing so, each squad bolstered their roster by acquiring players that not only look to come in and fill certain voids on the ball club, but to make an instant impact with their respective team and has the coaching staff ecstatic for the future of the program.

The Texas Rockies 11U ball club enters their first fall season with the program as one of three Rockies' teams set to compete in the FBSA Sunday Double Header League in Frisco that is slated to begin this Sunday, September 10 and conclude in late October. Coming off a spring season that consisted of a period of growth and development, the Texas Rockies 11U team hope to build on their previous experiences now that they have a season secured under their belts. With a scheduled off weekend this Sunday, the Texas Rockies 11U will open their season on Sunday, September 17 in a double header matchup against the Diablos. Game times are set for 8:00AM and 9:45AM at Harold Bacchus Community Park #5 in Frisco.

Due to a variety of schedule conflicts, the Texas Rockies 12U team elected to forgo the opportunity to appear in their third consecutive FBSA League Championship, winning the title in 2015 and finishing runner up in 2016, and take the route of playing in tournaments throughout the fall season. The team's 11U campaign was highlighted by five top-three finishes, including a runner-up finish in the AAYBA World Series to close out the season. In the team's ten tournaments in the spring, the Rockies consistently displayed their progression from the season prior and by no coincidence, were eliminated from each of their events by the eventual tournament champion. Set to launch their third full season at AAA, the Texas Rockies 12U ball club will begin their quest of reaching the next level by competing in the Matt Dozier NIT tournament on September 16-17. Game times for the event will be released on Wednesday, September 13.

Following back-to-back phenomenal spring seasons where the team collected forty-three victories against AA competition, the Texas Rockies 13U team head into the fall ready to begin their first full season at the AAA level. The Rockies' 12U spring season featured two runner-up finishes to go along with a championship title in the Mother's Day Global tournament, which earned the team the hard earned promotion to the AAA. The Rockies will break ground on the 2017 season this Sunday, September 10 in a double header matchup against the Frisco Riders. Game times are set for 8:00AM and 10:00AM at Shawnee Trail Park - Red in Frisco.

Another team looking to make headway in their first full season at a new level are the Texas Rockies 14U. In the team's 2017 spring campaign, the Rockies' concluded the season with a program high twenty-two victories that was spotlighted by three top-three finishes, tournament championship in the Longhorn Launchfest back in late April, and a promotion to compete at the major level. Anxious to begin their first full season at the majors, the Rockies' will enter the team's fifth year with the program with arguably their most talented roster to date and will begin their FBSA Sunday Double Header League schedule this Sunday, September 10 with a double header matchup against the Texas Baseball Club. Game times are set for 4:00PM and 6:00PM at Harold Bacchus Community Park #10 in Frisco.

The Texas Rockies Baseball Organization would like to welcome the fans to come join us at the ball park for the season opener on Sunday as the program looks forward to another successful season.
