LEWISVILLE --- After concluding the team's pool play schedule with a 2-1 record, TR Baseball 11U dropped their play-in contest against the NTXBC Dirtbags on Tuesday evening in a game that ultimately decided which bracket each team would contend for to win a World Series championship. With the loss, TR Baseball 11U would advance into the Gold Division of the 2017 AAYBA World Series, forcing a Wednesday night matchup against the Colleyville Indians to open the single elimination championship bracket. In a pairing of two teams that haven't met each other in over two years, TR Baseball 11U made a statement to the rest of the field as a stellar complete game performance on the hill by Caden Robert and a powerful surge at the plate from the offense propelled TR Baseball 11U to a 14-4 drumming of the Colleyville Indians.

The scoring came early and often for the TR Baseball 11U offense, plating five in the first, two in the second, and seven more in the fourth to quickly run-rule the Indians. The lineup pounded out twelve hits to score the team's fourteen runs in the four inning contest, led by standout performances from Aaron Reeves and Carter Cole. The duo combined for five hits with going for extra bases, four runs, five RBI, while concluding quarterfinal matchup with multi-hit games. Luke Jordan and Hayden Duston also contributed with two RBI a piece as the TR Baseball 11U lineup continued to show no mercy at the plate.

Right handed hurler Caden Robert went the distance on the mound for TR Baseball 11U, picking up his third win of the season in his complete game performance. In his four innings pitched, Robert surrendered three earned runs on seven hits, walked two and struck out four. As Robert consistently pounded the strike zone, the TR Baseball 11U defense remained stout and remained errorless in seventeen total chances in the ball game.

TR Baseball 11U's victory eliminated the Colleyville Indians from the AAYBA World Series and forced a Thursday morning semifinal matchup against the North Texas Heroes.
