DALLAS - The Texas Rockies Baseball Organization would like to recognize the program's top performers from last week by naming Anderson Curtis, Jett Wright, and Cayden Alexander as the Players of the Week for May 4-10.
Anderson Curtis / 12U - Black
Curtis earned his first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the spring by slashing .600 AVG/.636 OBP/.700 SLG/1.336 OPS across four games played in last weekend's Tear The Cover Off Cancer tournament at Future Telecom Ballpark in Mesquite.  The Texas Rockies 12U - Black left handed slugger went 6-for-10 in eleven plate appearances with a double, one walk, one RBI, six run scored, and swiped six bases.  His production in the lead off spot catapulted his ball club to their second runner-up finish in a tournament this season.
Honorable Mention:  Cooper Kirby (11U), Lennox Byrd (12U-Black), Bryce Laczkowski (12U-Black), Cole Onofrietti (12U-White)
Jett Wright / 12U - Black
Wright (1-0, 0.00 ERA/0.75 WHIP) acquired his first Pitcher of the Week award of the season following his stellar complete game performance on the mound last Sunday for the Texas Rockies 12U-Black ball club in last weekend's Tear The Cover Off Cancer tournament at Future Telecom Ballpark in Mesquite.  The hard throwing right-hander allowed no earned runs and limited the tournament's top seeded Texas Raiders to just one base hit, walked two, and struck out four to guide his ball club to the 7-1 upset victory.  His dominance on the mound was essential to the Rockies' deep run in the tournament where they later finished runner-up.
Honorable Mention:  Beckett Byrd (9U), Cayden Alexander (9U), Wallace Archie (12U-Black), Austin Allen (12U-White)
Cayden Alexander / 9U
