DALLAS - The Texas Rockies Baseball Organization would like to recognize the program's top performers from last week by naming Bryson Sauceda, Hilton Sampson, and Maddox Canham as the Players of the Week for April 20-26.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Bryson Sauceda / 12U-White
Sauceda earned his first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the spring by slashing .600 AVG/.667 OBP/.600 SLG/1.267 OPS across three games played in last weekend's Global Easter 1 Day tournament at Randol Mill Park. The Texas Rockies 12U - White left-handed slugger went 3-for-5 with one RBI, two runs scored, one walk, and one stolen base in six plate appearances in the tournament.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Hilton Sampson / 12U-Purple
Sampson (0-1, 0.60 ERA/0.00 WHIP) acquired his first Pitcher of the Week award of the season with a strong start on the mound for the Texas Rockies 12U - Purple ball club in last weekend's Global Easter 1 Day tournament at Randol Mill Park. The Rockies' southpaw allowed no earned runs and just three base hits, walked none, and struck out a career high seven batters in five innings of work.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Maddox Canham / 12U-Purple
Canham attained his first Defensive Player of the Week selection by exhibiting stellar glove work and valiant effort throughout each of his three games played in last weekend's Global Easter 1 Day tournament at Randol Mill Park. Despite recording two putouts in two total chances in the tournament, Maddox's effort in the outfield was noticeably on display and caught the coaching staff's attention for his hard work on the baseball field.
