DALLAS - The Texas Rockies Baseball Organization would like to recognize the program's top performers from last week by naming Bryce Laczkowski, Cayden Alexander, and Luke Jordan as the Players of the Week for April 6-12.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Bryce Laczkowski / 12U-Black
Laczkowski earned his first Offensive Player of the Week award of the season slashing 1.000 AVG/1.000 OBP/2.000 SLG/3.000 OPS in two games played over the weekend. The Texas Rockies 12U-Black slugger went a perfect 4-for-4 in four plate appearances with two triples, two runs scored, two stolen bases, and one run batted in. Bryce's two extra bases collected over the weekend gives him a program-leading nine for the season and his current .696 batting average ranks second among all players in the Texas Rockies Baseball Organization.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Cayden Alexander / 9U
Alexander (1-0, 2.00 ERA) claimed his first Pitcher of the Week selection following his dominant start on the mound for the Texas Rockies 9U team on Saturday morning. The Rockies' right-handed hurler allowed just one earned run on one base hit, walked two, and struck out eight for his second victory of the season. Cayden's outing now ranks him tied for first in wins (2) and third in strikeouts (15) in the Rockies' program.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Luke Jordan / 13U
Jordan notched his first Defensive Player of the Week award of the season by exhibiting excellent glove work at the third base position throughout his two games played over the weekend. The Rockies' defender recorded six assists and one double play in six total chances on the diamond. His efforts guided the Texas Rockies 13U ball club to a 2-0 record and a first-place finish in the Texas Lone Star Classic tournament in Plano. Luke currently ranks second in the Texas Rockies Baseball Organization in assists (12) and double plays (3).
